Starting as a prosecutor in Brooklyn, he later joined a Manhattan law firm and defended major hospitals and the City of New York from high-exposure medical malpractice cases. In 2006, Soo-young joined Goldberg Segalla, where he focuses his practice in the areas of product liability and high-stakes litigation. He has represented large companies, airlines, municipalities, school districts, and real estate developers, among others, in various litigation and has obtained numerous jury verdicts on cases involving multi-million dollar potential verdicts. Soo-young has authored articles on data breaches and guidelines on wireless devices for a number of noted industry publications, including Medical Device + Diagnostic Industry and Law Technology News.
